We are thrilled to announce that both of our attorneys, Steven McLellan and Claire Melehani, have been selected to the 2026 Northern California Rising Stars list.
What the Rising Stars Selection Means
Rising Stars is a designation of Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters rating service that evaluates lawyers through independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. To be eligible, an attorney must be 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. The selection is not something a lawyer can purchase or apply for on their own behalf: candidates are identified through the rating service’s research process and evaluated against others in their region and practice area.
For a two-attorney firm to have both of its lawyers selected in the same year is something we are especially proud of.

Rising Stars is an annual attorney rating published by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters service. No more than 2.5 percent of eligible lawyers in each state receive the designation in a given year.
How are attorneys selected?
Super Lawyers uses a multi-step process that includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. Attorneys cannot buy their way onto the list, and self-nomination alone does not result in selection.
Does an award like this affect the outcome of my case?
No. Professional recognitions reflect peer and industry evaluation of an attorney’s work; they do not predict or guarantee the result of any particular matter. Every case turns on its own facts and law.
