Sonia Mehmi

LAW CLERK

Sonia Mehmi is a law clerk at McLellan Law Group, where she supports the firm's civil litigation practice with legal research, drafting, and case preparation. She is a Juris Doctor candidate at Santa Clara University School of Law, where she earned a CALI Award in Civil Procedure and was selected for a Law Faculty Scholarship. Sonia is also a registered Patent Agent.

 Before law school, Sonia earned a Master of Science in Bioethics from Columbia University, where she studied the intersection of law, ethics, and regulation in medicine and biotechnology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis. Her background in the sciences gives her a distinctive analytical lens, particularly in matters involving technical evidence, healthcare, and regulatory issues.

 Sonia is an active member of the South Asian Law School Association, Women in Law, and the South Asian Bar Association. She is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.
